Hello, I'm Kimberly.
Wife. Mother. Homemaker. Mentor. Fellow traveler.
Most days you'll find me caring for my home, spending time with family, tending our little farm, writing, reading, singing around the piano, or simply learning what it means to remain rooted in Christ through the ordinary rhythms of life.
But before any of those titles, I am simply a woman deeply loved by God and continually being shaped by His grace.
And truly, I'm just a little sparrow.
My Story
More than thirty-five years ago, at sixteen years old, I became a mother.
What felt overwhelming at the time became the beginning of a beautiful story of redemption, grace, and God's faithfulness.
Since then, God has led me through many seasons of womanhood and motherhood. I have been married for more than thirty years, homeschooled for over two decades, raised twelve children, walked through grief and joy, welcomed grandchildren, and now find myself journeying alongside many of my children as they build families and lives of their own.
Looking back, I can see that every season carried its own lessons.
Some came through celebration.
Others came through hardship.
Most came through the ordinary, faithful work of daily life.
And through it all, God has been patiently teaching me the same truth:
Peace does not come from striving harder.
It grows as we become rooted in Christ.
Why "This Little Sparrow"?
One of my greatest hesitations in creating this space was the fear of giving the impression that I have it all together.
That I have all the answers.
That I no longer need encouragement myself.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
The little sparrow became a reminder to me of who I really am.
Small.
Dependent.
Deeply cared for by a faithful Father.
Anything I have to share—anything I have learned—is only because of God's kindness and His faithfulness in seeing and caring for me.
He is the provider.
He is the steady One.
He is the One who sees.
Learning to trust the One who sees every sparrow has changed everything.
This isn't my story.
It's His.
What I Believe
Over the years, a few simple truths have become anchors for my life:
We teach what we know, but we reproduce who we are.
Healthy homes begin with healthy hearts.
Peace is cultivated, not controlled.
The small, faithful work of today matters for generations.
Growth begins with being rooted in Christ.
God is always writing a story of redemption, even in ordinary lives.

The Heart Behind This Space
This Little Sparrow exists to encourage women toward rooted womanhood, peaceful homes, and a long view of motherhood.
My hope is that women who arrive here feel less pressure to perform and more freedom to rest in Christ.
To become deeply rooted.
To cultivate peace in their homes.
To remember and retell the faithfulness of God to the generations entrusted to them.
Not perfectly.
Just faithfully.
